I graduated from the University of Florida with a MS in Biomedical Engineering and BS in Biological Engineering, with a research focus on magnetic particles, biomaterials, 3D bioprinting, neural stem cells, and polymeric cardiovascular stents. I am currently interested in bioprinting cardiac extracellular matrix derived heart patches for the treatment of pediatric heart disease and heart failure in adults, with the incorporation of cardiac stem cells. The ECM work is done in collaboration with the Christman lab at the University of California, San Diego. I also work on projects involving transcatheter heart technology, advanced bioprinting, and polymeric stents.
