Biography
Hola! I am currently a first-year graduate student in the Davis Lab. I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, where I was the first in my family to receive my bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering at Arizona State University in 2022. I then relocated to New York City to complete my post-baccalaureate studies in Dr. Helen Lu’s lab, where I focused on fabricating bacterial nanocellulose hydrogels for medical applications. I am interested in exploring tissue engineered constructs for cardiovascular applications for my doctoral thesis. Outside of lab, I love to thrift, workout, dance, watch movies, and sleep (it’s my personality trait). I also love to help other underrepresented students in STEM. I am a proud first-generation college graduate!
